The clay room

Every plate begins twice: first on the wheel, then at the pass.

The pottery and kitchen share one vocabulary of heat, patience and useful imperfection. Bowls are thrown for a dish, then allowed to keep the marks of their making.

Made for the table

The handmade Kiln House tableware collection
01

Clay

Local bodies are left visible at the foot and rim, so every piece carries the material it came from.

Glaze

Celadon, warm white and iron-rich slips create a restrained family rather than a matching set.

Fire

Firing scars are kept, not corrected. The same heat that cooks dinner leaves its mark on the table.
